Real Estate SEO
Local SEO for Real Estate Agents and Agencies That Need More Leads
Win the searches portals cannot own: "real estate agent near me", "flat for sale in Bashundhara R/A", "how much is my home worth" and "best realtor in Gulshan", from buyers and sellers who want a person rather than a listing.
- Agency and agent profiles set up with the right real estate categories
- Neighbourhood guides that answer what buyers ask before they call
- Seller pages for valuations, pricing and how you market a property
- RealEstateAgent schema and consistent agent names across every platform
Real estate SEO is Local SEO for agents, agencies and property developers: making you visible in Google Maps, local organic results and AI answers when people search for an agent, a neighbourhood or a property type in your area. It relies on correct profile categories, deep neighbourhood content, seller-focused pages, agent credentials and reviews from completed deals.
Property portals win most listing searches, and that is fine. The searches they cannot win are about people and places: who to trust, which area suits a family, what a flat is worth. That is where my Local SEO service puts an agent or agency.

Where leads leak
Why agents lose buyer and seller leads to portals and big brokerages
Portals take the listing searches
Zillow, Realtor.com and local property portals rank for "homes for sale" almost everywhere. Agents who only publish listing pages compete where they cannot win, and leave neighbourhood and seller searches empty.
Agency and agent profiles confused
Agents create personal profiles at the agency's address, old agents' profiles stay live after they leave, and the agency profile ends up with the wrong category. Sorting this out is the first step of my Google Business Profile optimization for property businesses.
No reason for sellers to call you
Sellers search "how much is my house worth", "best time to sell" and "estate agent fees". Without valuation and seller pages, your site only speaks to buyers, who often go straight to the portal.
Reviews stop after the first year
Real estate deals are infrequent, so reviews arrive slowly. Many agents never ask after closing, and a profile with no review in eighteen months looks inactive to buyers comparing agents.
What's included
What real estate Local SEO includes
Categories and profile structure
Real estate agency for the office, Real estate agent for individual agent profiles where Google's rules allow, and Real estate developer, Property management company or Real estate rental agency only for businesses that really do that work.
Neighbourhood guides
One page per area you sell in, with housing types, typical price per square foot, schools, transport, flood or traffic issues and recent sales you handled. In Dhaka that means pages for Gulshan, Banani, Dhanmondi, Uttara, Bashundhara R/A and the areas buyers compare them with.
Seller and valuation pages
Free valuation page, how you price and market a property, fees explained plainly, and a selling timeline. These pages answer seller searches portals do not cover.
Developer and project pages
For developers: one page per project with location, unit sizes, handover date, approvals and amenities. Clear project pages help buyers and give AI tools facts to quote.
Schema and entity consistency
RealEstateAgent markup for the agency and agents, with address, geo, areaServed and sameAs links to portal profiles, LinkedIn and social pages, so every platform describes the same entity.
Reviews after closing
A review request sent at handover or registration, to both buyers and sellers, asking them to mention the area and property type. Replies thank the client by name only if they used it.
What Google weighs
Ranking factors that matter most for real estate
Google's local ranking still comes down to relevance, distance and prominence. Agents serve wide areas, so relevance to each neighbourhood and prominence through reviews and mentions do most of the work.
Neighbourhood relevance
Pages that genuinely describe an area, with local detail a visitor would recognise, rank for "[area] real estate agent" and "living in [area]" searches.
Agent prominence
Mentions in local news, association member pages and partner sites (lenders, lawyers, developers) build prominence that one profile cannot.
Photos and video
Agent headshots, the office front with signage, team photos and short neighbourhood walk-through videos. Use listing photos only for properties you are authorised to market.
Fresh activity
Regular GBP posts about new listings, open houses and market updates show an active business. A quarterly area price update is worth more than a weekly generic blog post.
What the work looks like
How I measure results for agents and agencies
I report on calls, valuation requests, buyer inquiries and which neighbourhood pages they came from. Neighbourhood content behaves like any research-led content: it builds steadily. A site I grew from zero reached 3.93K clicks and 47.4K impressions at an 8.3% CTR within six months with a similar data-led content plan.
Buyers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity which area or agent to choose. Consistent facts across your site, profile and portals help those tools cite you, as I explain in getting a local business cited by AI search.

- Clean agency and agent profile structure that follows Google's guidelines
- Reporting on calls and valuation requests, with no lock-in contracts

Frequently Asked Questions
Real estate SEO questions
Should each real estate agent have their own Google Business Profile?
Google allows individual practitioner profiles for agents who deal with clients directly, alongside the agency's profile. Each agent profile should use the agent's real name and the Real estate agent category, and be removed or updated when an agent leaves.
Can I outrank Zillow or property portals?
Rarely for broad listing searches. You can win neighbourhood, agent and seller searches, plus the Map Pack for "real estate agent near me". Those searches come from people who want a specific person to help them.
What should a neighbourhood page include?
Housing types, typical prices or price per square foot, schools, transport links, everyday convenience, known downsides and recent deals you handled there. Write it the way you would brief a client over coffee, and update prices at least once a year.
Do property developers need Local SEO?
Yes. Buyers search the developer's name, the project name and the area. A Real estate developer profile for your sales office, plus clear project pages, makes sure they find accurate details instead of outdated portal ads.
How do I get more reviews when I close only a few deals a year?
Ask every buyer and seller at handover, and ask landlords and tenants on rental deals too. A short, direct review link sent the same day works best. Small numbers of detailed reviews still build trust.
How long does real estate SEO take?
Most agents see Maps and neighbourhood ranking movement in 3 to 6 months, with steady lead growth from month 6 onward. Seller leads usually arrive later than buyer inquiries because sellers research longer. Neighbourhood pages usually show results before valuation pages do.
